Q3 :在中国境内的新生如何报到注册？

How should new students who are inside Mainland of China register at the university?

在中国境内的新生需按照学校通知到校进行报到注册，预定报到注册时间为9月10-11日。请密切关注学校的进一步通知。

New students who are now inside Mainland of China should follow the university’s instructions to come to the campus for registration. The planned registration dates are September 10 and 11. Please pay close attention to the notices from the university for more details.

Q4: 在中国境外的新生如何报到注册？

How should new students who are out of Mainland of China register at the university?

在中国境外的新生可按照学校通知，通过线上方式进行注册。请密切关注学校的进一步通知。

New students out of Mainland of China should follow the university’s instructions to register online. Please pay close attention to notice from the university updates.

Q5 : 新生如何缴纳学费？

How should new students pay the tuition fees?

自费生、部分奖学金的获得者需要预交第一学年的学费。你可通过银行汇款缴纳学费（汇款时请务必备注个人的姓名和护照号码），汇款后将缴费凭证上传至招生系统。

Self-supporting students and awardees of the partial scholarships should pay the tuition fee before the official registration. Payment could be made under Admission Guidelines (please make sure to put your name and passport number in the Remarks) and upload the bank receipt of your payment to the online application system.

Q6 : 我是国际学生新生，现在中国大陆，签证快到期了，是否可以帮我提前办理签证延？

I am a new international student now in Mainland of China, and my visa is about to expire.  Can I have help with my visa extension in advance?

学生未办理报到，学校无法为学生提前办理签证延期。学生可咨询当地出入境管理局办理其他类型签证或者人道主义停留签证。也可以参照国家移民局出台的政策“疫情期间如签证到期，可自动顺延两个月”判断是否需要办理延期。由于签证为属地管理，各地出入境管理部门执行情况不一致，具体可咨询当地出入境管理部门。

The university is unable to assist the students who have not yet registered at the university to apply for a visa extension in advance. Students can consult their local Exit and Entry Administration Bureau for other types of visas or humanitarian stay visas that could be applied for. Students can also take note of the "2-month automatic visa extension for visas which will expire during the epidemic prevention and control period” policy to determine whether an extension is needed.

As visas are managed by local jurisdictions, the implementation of immigration departments in different regions in China varies. For details, please consult your local Exit and Entry Administration Bureau.

Q7 : 我目前在中国境外，该如何办理来华签证？

I am right now out of Mainland of China. How should I apply for visa to enter the country?

学校会按照政府部门的相关政策决定何时开始向学生邮寄纸质的录取材料。与此同时，你也可以咨询你所在地区的中国使领馆，关注最新的来华签证政策。

Decisions about when to deliver the hard copy of the admission documents to the admitted students will be made based on the relevant government policies. At the same time, you may also contact and consult the Chinese embassy/consulate in your place to follow the updated information about visa application.

Q8 : 老生什么时候报到注册？

When shall current students register at the university?

根据校历安排，9月11日老生报到注册。

According to the academic calendar, current students shall register on September 11, 2020.

Q9: 是否需要返校办理注册手续？

Do I have to return to the university for registration?

在中国境内的老生需返校办理报到注册；在中国境外的老生，由于旅行限制和入境要求不能入境的，可进行远程注册。

Current students who are inside Mainland of China shall come to the campus for registration. Those who are outside Mainland of China and cannot enter the country due to travel restrictions and entry requirements can have remote registration.

Q10 : 如何办理报到注册？

How to register?

在中国境内的老生，需在规定时间内到所在学院完成注册手续；在中国境外的老生需联系所在学院进行远程注册。

Students who are inside Mainland of China shall go to their Faculty/College/School for registration. For those who are outside Mainland of China, please pay the fees to Ningbo University bank account and contact your Faculty/College/School for remote registration.

Q11 : 如因病或因事无法报到，该如何处理？

If I cannot register due to illness or other special circumstances, what should I do?

因病或因事暂时无法报到，请联系本学院按学籍管理规定及时办理请假手续。开学2周内未办理请假手续，将被视为擅自离校，将做退学处理。

If you cannot register due to illness or other special circumstances, please contact your faculty/college/school and ask for leave in time according to the student status regulations. If you fail to ask for leave within the first two weeks of the new semester, you will be deemed to leave the university without permission and drop out of the university.

Q12 : 老生如何缴纳学费？如果在线学习，学费是否可以减免？

How should current students pay the tuition fees? If I study online, is there a reduction in tuition fees?

在开学注册前，自费生请自行到银行通过汇款缴纳学费（汇款时请务必备注学生的学号和姓名），汇款后请保存好缴费凭证，线下/线上注册时需提交缴费凭证。线上学习学费不减免。

Before September 11, self-supporting students shall go to the bank to wire the tuition fee to the university’s bank account (please make sure to put your student number and name in the Remarks).

Please keep the bank receipt of your payment and provide it to your faculty/college/school.

The online tuition fee standard is the same with offline courses.

Q13 : 老生休学或复学如何办理？

How to apply for suspension or resumption of schooling?

建议在9月11日之间完成休学与复学申请。请联系本人所在学院办理。需填写相关表格，提供相关证明材料，由本人或委托他人办理。休学还需办理退宿及离校和签证注销手续。

Please complete application for suspension or resumption before September 11 by contacting your faculty/college/school. You are required to fill in forms and provide supporting documents, which can be handled in person or by others. You also have to go through the procedures of dormitory check-out and cancellation of visa if you apply for suspension.

Q14 : 新生如何预订校内住宿？

How can new students reserve a dormitory?

目前，新生无需事先预订校内住宿。到校参加注册报到的新生，可在报到时直接申请办理校内住宿。

For the time being, new students don’t need to reserve a dormitory. You can directly apply for on-campus accommodation when you come to the campus for on-site registration.

Q15 : 老生如何续订校内住宿？

How can current students renew on-campus accommodation?

目前，可以联系所在学院通过续交住宿费保留房间或预订房间。

Students can contact your faculty/college/school and pay the rent to keep your room or make a reservation.

Q16：我知道受疫情的影响，课程会从课堂实地教学改为线上教学，但这会导致我2020-2021学年的学费有任何的变化吗？

I understand the COVID-19 situation will make my courses move from face-to-face to online, will this bring any change to the tuition fees for the 2020-2021 academic year？

在2020秋季学期，不管届时具体的教学形式是线下教学还是线上教学，宁波大学的全体教职员工都将全力以赴向学生提供完整、充实而丰富的高质量教育机会。根据政府和学校的政策，2020-2021学年的学费将不会有变化。

The faculty and staff members of Ningbo University are all committed to providing students with a complete, full and enriched semester of high quality educational opportunities for the Fall 2020 semester, regardless of whether the courses will be conducted in person or provided online. In accordance with the government and university policies, tuition fees for the 2020-2021 academic year will not be altered at this time.

Q17 : 我是奖学金新生，按学校要求办理了报到注册，奖学金如何发放？

I am a new student with scholarship. How will my scholarship be issued after I register as required?

按学校要求到校办理报到注册手续的同学，我校按该奖学金的管理规定正常执行。

按学校要求线上办理报到注册手续的同学，奖学金生活费待学生正常来校报到，并通过相关资格审查之后开始发放。

For students who complete registration as required, the scholarship will be normally issued according to the related regulations.

For students who complete remote registration as required, the scholarship will be issued once they arrive in China, register and complete the required qualification review.
