Ningbo University Affiliated First Hospital
Approved by the Office of the Establishment Committee of Ningbo Municipal Committee on March 1, 2023, the First Affiliated Hospital of Ningbo University was formed by integrating the former Ningbo First Hospital and the former Affiliated Hospital of Medical School, Ningbo University (Ningbo Third Hospital).
The Hospital is a third-grade class-A general hospital and a regional medical center in Zhejiang Province and has been ranked in the top 100 in the performance assessment of third-grade general public hospitals for three consecutive years. Itnow has threebranchesin Yuehu, Fangqiao, and Waitan, with a total construction area of 400,300 square meters and 3,900 beds.Among them, the Ningbo Public Health Clinical Center project is scheduled to be completed in 2024, when the total construction area of the threebranchhospitalswill reach 608,000square metersand the total number of beds will exceed 5,350.
The Hospital has a post-doctoral research station and academician workstation in Zhejiang Province. It is a training institution for mastersand doctorsofmedicineof Ningbo University, and one of the first batches of national residency training bases. It is also a network hospital of the International Emergency Rescue Center, a national baby-friendly hospital, a national collaborative network hospital for rare disease diagnosis and treatment, as well as a licensed or affiliated institution for National Stroke Screening and Prevention Base, Chinese Chest Pain Center, Ningbo Geriatric Center, Ningbo Critical Maternity Treatment Center, and Ningbo Poisoning Emergency Center.Currently, the Hospital fully manages 4 county and district hospitals and helps 4 county and district hospitals.
The Hospital has a total of 5,132 employees (including 976 outside the authorized personnel quota), among whom, 973 have associate senior titles or above, 136 are doctors and post-doctors, and 1,245 are masters.
The Hospital has 2 national clinical key construction disciplines, 1 provincial key support discipline, 4 provincial-municipalcooperativemedical key disciplines, 6 regional specialized disease centers in eastern Zhejiang, 3 Ningbo brand disciplines, 9 Ningbo medical key disciplines, and 11 Ningbo medical key support disciplines. It has 1 provincial medical research key laboratory, 2 municipal medical research key laboratories, and 3 municipal clinical medical research centers. Its Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a model Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine among national general hospitals. It also has 6 municipal clinical guidance centers for chronic disease management and 11 municipal quality control centers.
The Hospital has nearly RMB 1.8 billion worth of medical equipment.In addition to basic equipment such as ventilators, anesthesia machines, and hemodialysis machines, it currently has high-end large-scale medical equipment such as da Vinci surgical robot, PET-CT, linear accelerator, 3.0T MRI, 320-row CT, 96-row dual-source CT, SPECT, argon-helium cryosurgery, cellular endoscope, holmium laser, thulium laser, fluorescent surgical microscope, and thoracic impedance tomography. It also has ECMO, CRRT, dual-screen DSA, intra-aortic balloon pump, artificial heart-lung machine, and other equipment to support the treatment of patients with critical illnesses.
