In order to welcome the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and the 74th “World Red Cross Day” ,the School of Medicine of Ningbo university  launched the voluntary blood donation activity which vigorously promote the volunteer spirit of “dedication, fraternity, mutual assistance and progress”.  

On the morning of May 7, the Red Cross Society of Ningbo University, the Youth League Committee of School of Medicine, the Student union of the School of Medicine , the Jiangbei District Blood Donation Office jointly organized the blood donation activity. The event was successfully carried out on the first floor of Yongjiang restaurant, with more than 30 blood donors participating in the activity,including Chinese students and foreign students from different faculties.

Under the guidance of volunteers and doctors, blood donation work was carried out orderly. The volunteers carefully reminded the students what to pay attention before, during, and after the blood donation. All the donors were provided with milk and gifts. There were many maiden blood donors. Zheng Zhouyong from school of Mecidine said “there are many people who is in need of blood today , it may be me , my family or my friends in the future. Therefore, if my physical condition permits, I will donate blood again in the future, “ Other students have also expressed that they are extremely proud to have the opportunity to use their blood to contribute to the good of the society and save more lives. They believe free donation of blood spreads the message of love and concern for human mankind.
