On the morning of May 23rd, a delegation from Pakistan, including M. Iqbal Choudhary, Vice President of the Third World Academy of Sciences in Pakistan, Ahsana Dar Farooq, Dean of the College of Eastern Medicine at Hamdard University Pakistan, and Professor Muhammad Riaz from the International Islamic University Pakistan, visited the Health Science Center. The visit was hosted by Liu Yu, the Executive Dean of the Health Science Center.

During the meeting, Liu Yu introduced the development history and achievements of the Health Science Center, highlighting its emphasis on balancing clinical practice with scientific research and strengthening the cultivation of an international perspective in talent training. Professor Iqbal shared the purpose of their visit, noting that it deepened the understanding of Pakistani academia about China's medical research capabilities. He expressed his hope for the prompt implementation of specific cooperation plans to open a new chapter in medical education and research collaboration between the two countries. The parties discussed student exchange programs, joint research topics, and the construction of distance education platforms among other medical education cooperation projects, reaching a preliminary intention to cooperate.

After the discussions, Professor Iqbal and his team visited the teaching and research laboratories of the Health Science Center.
