On the morning of May 18th, the Public Health College of Ningbo University's Health Science Center, in collaboration with the Ningbo Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Yinzhou District CDC, held the National Nutrition Week and the "5.20" China Student Nutrition Day promotional event at the Ningbo Book City.

The third week of May each year is designated as National Nutrition Week. This event was jointly initiated in 2015 by the Chinese Nutrition Society, the Institute of Nutrition and Health of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, among other organizations, and this year marks its tenth edition. To implement the "Healthy China Action (2019-2030)", the "National Nutrition Plan (2017-2030)", and the "Elderly Nutrition Improvement Action (2022-2025)", and to address the challenges of low intake levels of dairy and soy products among Chinese residents, as well as oil consumption far exceeding recommended amounts, this year's National Nutrition Week focuses on the theme "Dairy and Soy for Nutrition, Less Oil for Health".

To further promote the concept of "rational nutrition and balanced diet," a video and photo collection campaign titled "My Family's Nutritional Meals" was launched across the city prior to the event. At the event, awards were presented to 12 winning families. Additionally, to increase the fun and interactivity of the event, a health and nutrition knowledge quiz with prizes was introduced. A volunteer team, including teachers from the Public Health College of Ningbo University's Health Science Center, provided nutritional health education to the attendees and engaged in interactive exchanges with the audience. The event was enthusiastically embraced by the local community, attracting numerous residents to participate actively.

This event received strong support from various organizations, including the Dongsheng Sub-district Office of Yinzhou District and the Dongsheng Branch of Yinzhou People's Hospital Medical Community.
