In an active response to the Ministry of Education's promotion of the "Sunshine Sports" initiative, aimed at fostering physical health among faculty and students and creating a positive campus sports culture, the Faculty Union of the Health Science Center, along with the Graduate Committee and the Student Union, jointly held the "I Exercise, I'm Healthy, I'm Happy" badminton tournament for teachers and students on the afternoon of May 12th at the West District Badminton Gymnasium.

The competition included three events: men's singles, women's singles, and mixed doubles. A special mixed doubles event allowed for teams to be formed between students and their mentors, thereby strengthening the communication and cooperation between teachers and students. The selection round adopted a one-game system with 21 points to determine the winner; whereas, the official matches followed a best-of-three games system, with 15 points per game, and the winner was determined by winning two out of three games.

As the competition progressed, the players demonstrated their perseverance and tacit teamwork amidst high-intensity, competitive, and fast-paced contests. The enthusiastic cheering from the cheerleading squads not only provided strong moral support for the athletes but also highlighted the fierceness and entertainment value of the matches.

This badminton tournament for teachers and students not only improved the physical fitness of the participants but also promoted friendship and bonding between faculty and students, enhancing the spirit of teamwork. The Health Science Center will continue to promote the positive lifestyle attitude of "I Exercise, I'm Healthy, I'm Happy," committed to fostering a vibrant and harmoniously developing cultural environment within the department, supporting the comprehensive development of teachers and students.
