It might have been a medium-rare steak, perhaps unwashed fruits and vegetables, possibly petting a stray cat, or even the bad habit of not washing hands... Crafty little bugs can silently make their way into our bodies. Have you noticed them? Even today, with significantly improved living conditions, the prevalence of foodborne parasites cannot be underestimated; the rise of pet ownership also increases the risk of zoonotic parasitic diseases. There is a long road ahead in the prevention and control of parasites. Understanding common parasites in daily life, learning about their modes of transmission and the harm they can cause, and developing good habits are crucial. Ningbo University's Medical School plans to hold the 87th session of the Apricot Grove Forum – Popular Science Edition (7), titled "Little Bugs, Big Trouble - Discussing Parasites Hidden in Our Bodies," targeting elementary school students on campus.
