Personal Profile: Jia Xiao is a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University. Her main research interests include clinical and basic studies on metabolic liver diseases, focusing on molecular mechanisms of organ damage caused by alcohol metabolism, discovery of new therapeutic targets, and the development of novel chemotherapeutic agents for treating metabolic liver diseases. She has published over 50 papers in high-level international journals such as the Journal of Hepatology, Nature Communications, Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B, and Trends in Molecular Medicine. Her research has been recognized with several awards including the Outstanding Young Scientists Fund, National Natural Science Foundation of China Regional Joint Key Project, Guangdong Province Outstanding Young Scientists Fund, and major provincial and ministerial level projects in Guangdong Province. She holds 11 Chinese patents.
