Speaker: Zhen Xuechu

Bio: Zhen Xuechu, distinguished professor at Soochow University. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Geneva in 1996 and pursued further studies and work in Pennsylvania and New York, USA (1996-2006). In 2006, he was introduced to the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as a principal investigator (PI). From 2010 to 2022, he served as the dean of the School of Pharmacy at Soochow University. His main research focuses on neuropharmacology and CNS drug development. He has received funding from the National Distinguished Youth Foundation and has been the director of the Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory for Major Neurological and Psychiatric Disorders. He has led or participated in projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation Key Program, the National Major Special Project for New Drug Development, the "Brain Science and Brain-Like Research" major project of Science and Technology Innovation 2030, and the Key R&D Program "Strategic Scientific and Technological Innovation Cooperation."
