Speaker: Professor Zhang Zunzhen

Introduction of the Speaker:

Dr. Zhang Zunzhen is a professor at West China School of Public Health, Sichuan University, and a doctoral supervisor. He is a leading academic and technical expert in Sichuan Province and serves as an academic and technical leader for the Sichuan Provincial Health Commission. Professor Zhang holds positions as a standing committee member of the Environmental Health Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, a director of the Sichuan Environmental Science Society, former Director of the Environmental Health Committee of the Sichuan Preventative Medicine Association, and an expert for the Sichuan Ecological Civilization Promotion Association. Dedicated to teaching and research in environment and health, Professor Zhang specializes in studying the carcinogenic mechanisms of environmental pollutants, particularly in biomarkers, oxidative damage, epigenetics, and health risk assessment. He has a strong ability to refine scientific questions and develop research ideas, having led six National Natural Science Foundation projects and numerous provincial and ministerial research projects. Professor Zhang has published over 300 research papers in domestic and international journals and has mentored several doctoral students with excellent research potential. Moreover, he has long served as an expert reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation projects, Ministry of Education doctoral dissertations, and has reviewed manuscripts for various domestic and international journals, accumulating rich theoretical and practical experience in grant proposal writing and scientific paper publication.
