In the afternoon of October 29, the Expert Seminar of 15th Ningbo Postgraduate Academic Festival (Medical Session) was held in the Multipurpose Hall, Wang Changlai Building. Professor Xu Shujun from the School of Medicine was invited to give a report entitled Expanding Scientific Research Thinking – Thought on Life Health Research from Multiple Dimensions. More than 50 students listened to the report. Xu Shujun addressed the report mainly from four aspects: “Methodological Research: Interaction Between Proteins and Visualization of Neurotransmitters”, “Research on Pathological Intervention”, “Research on Pathogenesis of Disease”, “Research on Physiological Function and Nerve Conduction Between Them”, and took the pathogenesis and intervention of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) as an example to introduce how to carry out life health research from multiple dimensions, such as the current research status of pathological process, gene and protein expression of AD, and the current treatment status of drug intervention or non-drug intervention treatment, etc. As for the research on scientific research subjects, Xu Shujun encouraged the students to make bold assumptions and carefully seek confirmation. She also encouraged the students to remain enthusiastic about their scientific research tasks and continue to work hard with scientific attitude and method.
The lecture of this Ningbo Postgraduate Academic Festival adheres to the central principle of cultivating the comprehensive quality of medical students, focuses on improving the scientific research ability of medical students, aims at allowing the students to understand the cutting-edge scientific and technological knowledge, broaden their horizons in academic exchanges and academic collisions and stimulate innovative thinking, and encourages the students to continue innovation and exploration, make breakthroughs, and light up the future of medicine with their own wisdom.
