On the morning of February 22nd, the Symposium on Detail Design of “Dual Base” Headquarter Buildings Construction was held by the NBU Health Science Center under the host of Wang Qianyong, Executive Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of NBU Health Science Center. The symposium was instructed by representatives from the medical class of Ningbo University and the Office of Planning and Construction. All members of the special working group of “dual base” construction of NBU Health Science Center attended the meeting.
The symposium reported the construction progress of the “dual base” headquarter buildings construction as well as the layout and functions of the comprehensive service building, scientific research building, teaching & experiment building and the laboratory animal center, and assigned tasks for the near future.
Persons in charge of the medical work team and the Office of Planning and Construction Office gave detailed guidance to the key elements of the detailed design of the building, and reminded the NBU Health Science Center of the precautions to be avoided in the layout design by reviewing the previous campus construction experiences. They hoped that the NBU Health Science Center could ensure to make full investigations before confirming the functional requirements and layout design, solicit opinions widely and carry out work earnestly, fully consider the special needs of medical disciplines, carefully study the functional needs of each floor and the layout design of each room, and make forward-looking design basing on the mid and long-term development planning and career development of medical education.
In his summary remarks, Wang Qianyong first thanked the medical class and all functional departments for their strong support and all-round guidance. He called on the NBU Health Science Center to enhance political awareness, actively strengthen communication and contact with the functional departments of the university to make reports and ask for instructions, ensure accuracy and integrity of basic data; take the responsibility to extensively mobilize the staff to engage and form synergies, refine the whole cycle layout design to be scientific and reasonable, and form a closed loop management; keep honest and self-disciplined to safeguard the bottom line of integrity and safety while efficiently cooperating to promote the headquarter buildings construction.
