On the morning of October 10th, Ningbo University Health Science Center held a laboratory safety education training in the multi-purpose hall of Wang Changlai Building. More than 110 graduate students from the class of 2023 attended the training, which was led by Ms. Jiang Wenwen, the safety officer from the Department of Asset and Laboratory Management.

During the training, Jiang Wenwen analyzed the causes of laboratory safety incidents both domestically and abroad, summarized experiences to avoid accidents, and emphasized on guidelines for students' daily behavior in the lab, precautions in the management process of hazardous chemicals, potential safety hazards in the use of various electrical appliances and other equipment, collection and disposal of waste, safety precautions in biological laboratories, usage and precautions of special equipment, and personal safety protection. She also solemnly warned against non-compliant behaviors.

The training session also disseminated relevant emergency measures and reminded attendees about laboratory safety precautions. Students were required to strictly adhere to laboratory regulations and carry out all experimental activities in an orderly manner, ensuring individual and laboratory safety.

Through this training, students fully realized that strictly abiding by laboratory rules and experimental procedures to eliminate safety hazards and prevent accidents is not only responsible for oneself, but also for others and national property. It reflects a good sense of responsibility.
