Recently, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the National Postdoctoral Management Committee announced the approval of Ningbo University's Clinical Medicine Postdoctoral Research Station. The newly established postdoctoral station at Ningbo University is expected to commence postdoctoral entry work at the beginning of 2024. The approval of this postdoctoral research station signifies that the Medical School has now constructed a comprehensive talent training system encompassing undergraduate, master's, doctoral, and postdoctoral education.

The Clinical Medicine Postdoctoral Research Station at Ningbo University relies on the first-level discipline doctoral program in "Clinical Medicine" and will be co-built and shared with affiliated hospitals, teaching hospitals, other teaching bases, and university-level research institutes. The research directions cover clinical medicine, basic medical science, preventive medicine, pharmacy, stomatology, biology, etc. The discipline boasts strong teaching staff and research capabilities, with 2 academicians and a group of national and provincial high-level research and medical talents; it features 1 national-level international cooperation base, 3 provincial key laboratories, 1 provincial-level international cooperation base, 10 city-level key laboratories, 1 top-tier provincial discipline, and 3 key disciplines at both provincial and municipal levels; it has presided over 168 national-level projects (including 2 key projects) and 337 provincial-level projects, accumulating research funds totaling 193 million RMB; and it has won 1 second-place National Science and Technology Progress Award (as a participant) and 15 provincial-level scientific and technological awards.
