On the afternoon of November 23rd, the first basic skills training session for the Ningbo University Experimental Animal Center was successfully held. The training was conducted by teachers Dong Chao and Guo Xiqin from the center, with 24 students and doctors attending from various departments such as Ningbo University Health Science Center, Oceanography College, Food and Pharmaceutical College, and the Affiliated First Hospital.

The training was divided into two phases. Teacher Guo Xiqin demonstrated the techniques for handling, marking, and identifying laboratory mice, as well as how to administer medication through gavage. Participants were then organized to practice these procedures on-site. Teacher Dong Chao lectured on the ethics of experimental animals and demonstrated the use of a mouse euthanasia device.

The aim of this training was to enhance students' skills in animal experimentation through standardized practical exercises and correct skill training, laying the groundwork for future scientific experiments.
