Ningbo University Health Science Center hosts the 2023 Postgraduate Recommendation and Entrance Examination Sharing Session

To further promote the development of academic culture and enhance the quality of postgraduate advancement for undergraduates at the Ningbo University Health Science Center, a recommendation and postgraduate entrance examination sharing session was held online on November 3,2023.Three students were invited to serve as guest speakers,sharing their experiences and insights from the process of securing recommendations and preparing for graduate school entrance exams. More than 150 students participated in this sharing event.

Student Zhang Zirui, a Class of 2019 major in Clinical Medicine at Ningbo University Health Science Center, assisted his peers in understanding the necessary preparations for the recommendation-based postgraduate admission program. He covered aspects such as interpretation of the policy, planning for future academic endeavors, collection of study materials, the application process for exemption from entrance exams, and interview practice. He emphasized the importance of academic performance, English proficiency, and research capabilities in the application process. Additionally, he recommended that students pay attention to public accounts like "From Medical Practice" and "Postgraduate Recommendation Island" to stay informed, find study partners during their preparation, and maintain a positive attitude. Student Xu Yu from the Class of 2018, majoring in Clinical Medicine at Ningbo University Health Science Center, began her presentation by outlining key timelines for preparing for postgraduate entrance examinations. She emphasized that initial preparations should include setting target institutions, understanding recruitment plans, and determining goal scores. Xu also offered specific study advice for the subjects of Comprehensive Medical Knowledge, Politics, and English, advising students to prioritize "quality" in their review and preparation. For the later stages, she highlighted the importance of maintaining a positive learning attitude, ensuring a balanced rhythm between work and rest, appropriate relaxation, and self-adaptation to ensure a good mental state as exams approach. Ye Wen, a student of the Preventive Medicine major in the class of 2018 at Ningbo University Health Science Center, believes that it is crucial to start studying English and related professional courses during the senior year. Early planning is very important. She provided her classmates with many suggestions regarding the practice methods and planning for each course type. Specifically for professional courses, she emphasized the importance of working with real exam questions and suggested seeking timely advice from professional teachers. In conclusion, Ye Wen shared her own study and rest schedule during her postgraduate entrance examination preparation, expressing hope that everyone would maintain a relaxed but focused approach throughout their preparation process. By persevering to the end, she assured that victory would be within sight!
