On November 10th, the third academic festival opening ceremony and pharmacy forum of the Ningbo University Health Science Center took place in the multifunctional hall of Wang Changlai Building. Eight medical scholars shared their work in various fields such as drug synthesis, compound structure modification, pharmacological action mechanisms, clinical medication testing, and drug laws and regulations. The executive director of the Health Science Center, Liu Yu, presided over the opening ceremony, which was attended by more than 100 teachers and students.

At the meeting, researcher Wang Xiaohui from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and researcher Cheng Jianjun from Shanghai University of Science and Technology each shared their research on the chemical biology of psychoactive substances and their antidepressant effects, focusing on drug synthesis and structural modification. Researcher Liu Quanli from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and associate professor Liu Liwei from the Health Science Center each introduced the design and construction of new drug compound libraries based on sources such as brewing yeast and sponge symbiotic microbes. Professor Liu Xinmin from the Institute of New Drug Research introduced international laws and regulations for traditional drug registration. Xu Tao, chief pharmacist of the First Affiliated Hospital of Ningbo University, discussed opportunities and challenges in drug monitoring for kinase inhibitor therapy in cancer treatment from a clinical medication perspective. Dr. Si Zizhen and Dr. Chen Gen from the Health Science Center also shared their latest research progress.

This conference effectively promoted the healthy development of medical disciplines, especially pharmacy, and played an important role in enhancing friendship and cooperation among medical workers.
