On the morning of April 18th, a symposium was held to advance the construction of the comprehensive quality training base for medical students. The meeting was attended by Wang Qianyong, the Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Medical Department, Zhang Wei, the Deputy Secretary, Mao Haijiao, the Vice President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Ningbo University, project staff from the Education Department of the affiliated hospital, and relevant personnel from the Medical Department.
During the meeting, Zhang Wei provided a detailed explanation of the construction progress and related planning of the medical student's comprehensive quality training base and reported the annual work plan and budget for the six training modules for 2024. Mao Haijiao highlighted the hospital's construction priorities in terms of ideological and political quality improvement, practical skills expansion, and psychological quality enhancement. Both parties discussed the content of cooperation and planned use of funds.
Wang Qianyong delivered a concluding speech. He emphasized the following requirements: first, to refine the content of work and elevate the construction of the base; second, to coordinate medical education for mutual benefits; third, to break down work objectives into measurable details; fourth, to optimize work plans and address any shortcomings collaboratively; fifth, to ensure efficient and compliant use of construction funds; and sixth, to develop work cases that are promotable, replicable, and exemplary.
The comprehensive quality training base for medical students at Ningbo University has been selected for the Ministry of Education's 2024 annual project aimed at improving the quality of ideological and political work in higher education institutions. The base, located at the First Affiliated Hospital with collaborative support from the Medical Department, aims to comprehensively enhance the overall quality of medical students. It is structured around four main centers and six training modules operating in synergy. In the future, it will further establish a spatial layout framed by "the First Affiliated Hospital Base - Five Directly Affiliated Hospital Bases - Dual Bases of the Medical Department," creating an outstanding medical talent training base and further perfecting a multi-entity collaborative education system.
