On the afternoon of March 6th, Zhang Ping, the Party Group Secretary and Director of the Ningbo Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, along with his delegation, visited the Health Science Center of Ningbo University for an inspection and research tour. Accompanying him were Hu Jun, Vice Chairman of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee; Zhu Da, Party Secretary of the University; Chen Guojun, Secretary-General and First-Class Inspector of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee; Cen Jianchong, Deputy Secretary-General (concurrently) and Director of the Research Office; Cui Xiuliang, Director of the Education, Science, Culture, Health, and Sports Committee; Zhang Jianguo, Deputy Director of the same committee; Chen Jinhui, Deputy Director of the Ningbo Municipal Education Bureau; Lü Chaofeng, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of the University; and Zhang Zhenzhu, Deputy Party Secretary of the University.

During the visit, Zhang Ping and his delegation listened to a report presented by Liu Yu, the Executive Dean of the Health Science Center, on the development history of the center and its substantial achievements in talent cultivation, scientific research, and local service over recent years. He noted that the municipal party committee and government place great importance on the construction and development of Ningbo University's Health Science Center and have high expectations for its future. He expressed his hope that the university would actively implement the "Medical Peak" plan, strengthen efforts in talent training, scientific research, discipline construction, and the recruitment of high-level talents. He urged the university to promptly perfect the management system and mechanisms of the Health Science Center, properly handle the relationship between the center and its affiliated hospitals, and swiftly achieve the goal of expanding and strengthening the center, thereby making a positive contribution to the health of Ningbo.

Before the report, Zhang Ping and his delegation first visited the construction site of the comprehensive building at the main base of the Health Science Center to inspect the progress of the building project. They also visited the Experimental Animal Center of Ningbo University and the teaching and research laboratories of the Health Science Center. They entered the anatomy teaching laboratory to engage in friendly conversations with the lecturers. Zhang Ping showed particular interest in the construction of the Experimental Animal Center, believing that it plays a significant supporting role in teaching and research and must be well-established.

Heads of relevant departments from the Municipal People's Congress, as well as officials from the Party (University) Office, Publicity Department, Planning and Construction Office, Medical Special Class, and the Health Science Center, participated in the inspection and research visit.
