On the afternoon of March 13th, Zhang Zhenzhu, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the university, visited the Health Science Center for a research visit.

During the meeting, the principal leaders of the Health Science Center reported on the achievements and initiatives in professional construction, talent cultivation, scientific research, development of disciplines and degree programs, faculty building, and party construction since its establishment, as well as the difficulties and bottlenecks encountered in their development. The attending team members reported on their work achievements over the past three years and suggestions for future work, in line with their respective responsibilities. Participants offered constructive opinions on the reform of the institutional mechanisms of the Health Science Center, the advancement of dual-base construction, and the implementation of Ningbo's Medical Peak Plan.

Zhang Zhenzhu fully acknowledged the academic accomplishments of the Health Science Center, noting that it has developed rapidly in just 26 years since its establishment, achieving breakthrough results in certain areas. He set forth requirements and hopes for the current key tasks and future development goals of the Health Science Center. He pointed out that the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee and government place great importance on the university's "Double First-Class" initiative and medical education, providing strong support, which presents a rare development opportunity for the Health Science Center. He expressed his hope that the party and administrative teams of the Health Science Center would unite and learn from each other to create synergy, seize opportunities, and achieve rapid breakthroughs in various tasks. He emphasized the need to vigorously recruit high-level talent, strengthen exchanges and interactions with affiliated hospitals, continuously improve the level of talent cultivation, scientific research, and discipline construction, and make greater contributions to the university's "Double First-Class" initiative and the advancement of Ningbo's "Medical Peak Plan."
