On April 26th, the 24th World Intellectual Property Day was observed. To enhance awareness of respect and protection for intellectual property rights and to actively promote the cultural concept of intellectual property that values knowledge, advocates innovation, integrity in compliance, and fair competition, Ningbo University Health Science Center held an intellectual property rights knowledge dissemination event on the afternoon of April 24th at the Wang Changlai Building under the theme "Joint Efforts to Build a Concept Verification Center, Supporting Technology Transfer."
The event specially invited Zhao Binjie, founder and investor of Yongjiang Biomedical Innovation Incubator Park, who provided an in-depth explanation on the importance of patent technology concept verification. He covered various aspects including the entire process of scientific and technological achievements transformation, content of patented technology concept verification, and Ningbo's guidance on the construction of concept verification centers. He particularly emphasized the critical role of concept verification in bridging the "valley of death" in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and achieving the "first mile," pointing out that patents can truly reflect their value only through concept verification.
Following the lecture, participants engaged in discussions on practical methods of concept verification, as well as the roles played by universities, concept verification centers, and enterprises in the concept verification process and the necessary investments involved.
