On the morning of May 8th, the Health Science Center organized a training session on the safety knowledge of hazardous chemicals in laboratories. The training aimed to enhance the professional knowledge, operational skills, and safety awareness of users regarding hazardous chemicals, to ensure the effective implementation of various regulations and to guarantee laboratory safety. A total of 55 teachers and students from the Health Science Center participated in the training.

During the meeting, the teacher responsible for the management of hazardous chemicals at the Health Science Center conducted a detailed analysis of various issues found in the records of hazardous chemical use by laboratory staff and students, and explained the correct methods of record-keeping. The importance and necessity of safety in the use of hazardous chemicals in the laboratory were vividly illustrated through various forms such as image presentations and practical demonstrations. The session further emphasized that each laboratory should rigorously carry out daily self-inspections and self-corrections, and strictly manage the standardization of hazardous chemicals.

After the theoretical knowledge training, all participating teachers and students took a written exam on-site, with a pass rate of 100%. This training and assessment have further strengthened the safety awareness of teachers and students in the use of hazardous chemicals in the laboratory. They have mastered the latest regulations on hazardous chemical management and are now fully aware of the entire chain of processes including storage, purchasing, transportation, use, and record-keeping. The standardization of ledger formats has been achieved, effectively preventing laboratory safety accidents and enhancing the level of accident prevention and disaster reduction work.
