On the afternoon of May 29, Lou Jianlin, Vice President of Huzhou Normal University, led a delegation to our university to research medical education reform and talent training efforts. The discussion meeting was presided over by Zhang Zhenzhu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the university and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Health Science Center.
During the meeting, Zhang Zhenzhu warmly welcomed the visitors from Huzhou Normal University on behalf of the university, introducing the basic situation, development history, and establishment process of Ningbo University as well as the Health Science Center. Liu Yu, the Executive Director of the Health Science Center, discussed the practices, existing problems, and countermeasures in the training of clinical medicine postgraduates. Wang Qianyong, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, highlighted the current achievements in running the Health Science Center and the characteristics and highlights of party building and ideological and political work. Xu Jin, the Deputy Director, shared experiences and achievements in attracting high-level talents. Zhang Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, introduced the experience and highlights of ideological and political work among graduate students in the Health Science Center; the head of the Teaching Department of the First Affiliated Hospital described the hospital's approach to postgraduate training.
Lou Jianlin first expressed gratitude for the warm reception by Ningbo University and praised its educational achievements. He introduced the basic situation of Huzhou Normal University and looked forward to establishing closer exchanges and cooperation with Ningbo University. Yao Yunjing, Dean of the Medical and Nursing Colleges at Huzhou Normal University, outlined the purpose and needs of their research, hoping that the Health Science Center at Ningbo University could share its valuable experience to guide their next steps in medical education reform, postgraduate training, undergraduate education review assessment, and talent recruitment.
Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the operational management system of the Health Science Center, postgraduate training, undergraduate education review assessment, and the work of attracting and retaining high-level talents.
Before the meeting, Lou Jianlin and his delegation visited the university history museum and some of the scientific research laboratories of the Health Science Center.
Representatives from the Graduate Affairs Department, Medical and Nursing Colleges of Huzhou Normal University, the First Affiliated Hospital, as well as some members of the party and government teams of our university's Health Science Center, heads of relevant functional offices, and the head of the Teaching Department of the First Affiliated Hospital attended the discussion meeting.
