The Marine Biomedical Zhejiang Provincial International Technology Cooperation Base was established and approved by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology in November 2020.

The Marine Biomedical Zhejiang Provincial International Technology Cooperation Base aims to create a comprehensive marine innovative drug research and development base with advanced technology, international standards, distinctive features, and standardized operations. The establishment includes an integrated modern marine drug discovery research system, consisting of a marine medicinal biological resource library, a marine natural product and derivative library, optimization and design of lead compounds, separation and preparation of active products, and early activity evaluation of drugs. The goal is to achieve original innovation, open sharing, result transformation, and efficient operation. The target is to build it into a domestically leading and internationally first-class marine biomedical international cooperation base.
