From October 24 to October 30, 2023, the 16th Zhejiang Provincial University Student Sports Games, organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education and the Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau, were held at Ningbo University. Lin Lin, a student majoring in preventive medicine from the School of Medicine's class of 2020, as part of the host Ningbo University track and field team, won first place in the men's Group A 200 meters with a time of 22.17 seconds and second place in the 100 meters with a time of 10.88 seconds. His performance in the 100 meters met the national first-level athlete standard.

He said, "As a student of preventive medicine, having a healthy body is especially important against the backdrop of the nation's emphasis on overall health. During my daily exercises, I often contemplate how to better apply the knowledge of preventive medicine to physical training. The honors I have received now also belong to the team. In the future, I will continue to explore the integration of medicine and sports, striving vigorously and writing my own legend on the path ahead!"

It is reported that since Lin Lin transferred to the School of Medicine from Yangming College in September 2021, he has actively participated in the annual university sports meeting. At the 2021 university sports meeting, Lin Lin won second place in the men's 100 meters and first place in the 200 meters, breaking the university Group A records in both events. In the 2022 university sports meeting, Lin Lin won first place in both the men's Group A 100 meters and 200 meters, setting new historical records for the university sports meeting.
